NEW MUSIC: Beyonce-Girls (Who Run the World)

Beyonce is Back! With a new song called "Girls (Who Run the World." So this song leaked the other day and the final cut just leaked yesterday. Soooo when I first heard this I hated it. Well I didn't actually hate it but I just knew it was going to have to grow on me. It just felt like too much was going on in the song. Now I will say that it is still growing on me but I'm starting to like it a little more the more I listen to it. I think once I buy it on itunes and put it on my ipod so I can blast it in my truck then I'll appreciate it more. A heavy bass can go a long way so I just need to blast it real quick and that will really determine how I feel about the song. What do you all think?

Sexy Abs, You know you want them, so get them!

Lets face it, everyone wants to have sexy washboard abs. Having a nice stomach can do soooooo much for your body. You can be overall a big person, but if you have a nice stomach then visually your body looks amazing! Now I know for a lot of people standard crunches do not work, including myself. I do not like doing regular crunches because I just feel like they don't do shit lol. So I found this video which focuses on a few of the ab workouts I do which I find very helpful. Those mountain climbers are a beast by the way. Also keep in mind that you have to incorporate good eating habits with your workout plan as well.

So I know its the end of the semester for many of you who are still in school like myself. I don't know about you all, but I tend to get extremely lazy during the end of the semester. Things just seem to get so repetitive for me and its hard to stay interested. So really I'm giving advice to myself as well lol. HANG IN THERE the semester is almost over. So I don't know if any of you tuned in to Aubrey's reality show "All About Aubrey" but I sure did. The season finale was last week but if you missed the season its on youtube I think. It was a really good show and she is so hilarious. She's my bff in my head lol. So the show basically was about Aubrey's comeback as a solo artist. I'm sure you saw when she got FIRED from Danity Kane lol. Well, get ready because Aubrey is BACK and she is trying to create a name for herself. Last week, her song "Automatic" (theme song for her show) was made available on itunes and I definitely bought it because I love this song! Just makes me feel good, ya know. Check it out below!

NEW VIDEO: Keyshia Cole-Take Me Away

So I really like this song. I still have not gotten Keyshia Cole's Album but I have heard it and it is pretty good so I think I will buy it eventually. I rarely get albums when they first come out lol. It takes me a little longer nowadays. But moving on to this video, the video is very simple and beautiful. It definitely fits the whole vibe of the song. One scene kind of reminds me of Aaliyah's "Rock the Boat." You'll know what I'm talking about when you see. The only criticism I have for the video is that some of the dance moves were a bit corny haha. But other then that its a good look for Ms. Cole. Or Mrs Cole I should say. Still Keeping the Music Alive

So I have definitely taken a small vacation from my music. For those who didn't know, I write a lot of music. Its just something I love to do. Anyways, I'm getting back into it, and really want to start getting my stuff out there. I don't necessariy need to hit it big or anything but I just want people to be able to relate. You know how you may be going through it and there is always a song that sums up your life at the moment. Well I want people to be able to listen to my music and relate. Movie Talk

Honestly I havent gone out to the movies in years. LOL. I know its sad but I just haven't made time for it. Not to mention the movies seems to get more expensive every year lol. Plus I have Netflix, so....yea. So if your wondering why I don't do a lot of movie talk on here that would be why.

Moving right along, I got a chance to watch a movie yesterday. An older movie, yes, but a goodie. I watched the 1949 classic, Pinky. Pinky shares the struggle of a girl name Pinky who happens to be of mixed race (black and white). She basically looks white though. She moves back down South (where she grew up) from the North and realizes that she is feeling a social difference. She struggles for acceptance not only from whites but from blacks as well. I feel like the whole motive of the movie for Pinky's journey in demanding respect. She demands to be treated like a human being. Not just her, but her race. Keep in mind she isnt ashamed of being part black.

What I love about Pinky's character is the confidence she displays. Even when she felt disrespected she always carried herself with pride and never backed down. She was very educated as well so that had a lot to do with the way she carried herself.

So that a short glimpse of my take on the movie, I could have written much more but I just want you to watch it for yourself and make your own judgements. So definitely check this one out and I hope you enjoy it.

I'm 23 Years Old!

So I'm a couple days late but I just celebrated a birthday and I am now 23 years of age. I actually somewhat dread birthdays because I just hate getting older even though I'm still young lol. IDK, I've just always been like that since I was little. But actually 23 is a pretty good age and I'm fortunate to have made it another year. Twenty-two was a great year for me though, I did a lot of traveling and just had a lot of fun. I feel like 23 is going to be a good year as well. The main challenge with being 23 now is my transition into independence. I am still in school (which I am so ready to be done with) but its time for me to start venturing out on my own. So this year is definitely going to be about hard work. However, you besta believe I'm gonna play even harder! Yup Yup! So again, thanks to everyone who took the time to wish me a Happy Birthday and lets have a good year! :D

Spring is Near!

I just wanted to take this time to get everyone in good spirits because Spring is around the corner. If you didn't know, Spring is my FAVORITE season of the year. Today, in Maryland, was such a beautiful day. It was very Spring like. It had to be in the 70's. Basically it was perfect. Lol. I am so looking forward to shorts and flip flps, and most importantly, NO COATS! So yes, thats pretty much all I wanted to say. So start expecting to see Spring clothes in your favorite stores pretty soon :D YeAh!

So Trey Songz new music video for "Love Faces" premiered last week I think. I'm late but I'm just watching it today lol. Its a really good video, I'm loving the artistic element so the video. Also I like the fact that the video depicts more of a romantic side of a relationship. Listening to the song you may expect the video to be a bit raunchier but its not. It just shows genuine love between two individuals. Well I don't really want to give it away so check it out for yourself.

Rihanna's video for "S&M" premiered today and it's exactly what I wanted! Yeah this video is pretty much the shit. It's fun, colorful, and I love the whole attitude of the song and video. But really all of Rihanna's videos are amazing so I'm not surprised that this one is so good. Some of you all in the industry need to take notes because this is how you do a video! Check it out!

I know its the peak of winter, we have all this damn snow outside and yea I hate it too. Its too cold and icy to go outside for our daily jogs and its just an uncomfortable time of the year. Well I don't know about you all but during winter the only thing that motivates me is knowing the Spring and Summer are right around the corner lol. So why not spend this time making sure your in shape for the summer. Look at it this way, work out now and you'll have less to maintain when its time to hit the beach. So anyways, here's a video I found on Youtube for you to make sure your stomach is looking right. In my opinion, a nice stomach can make the difference in the world.
