A new video from Ms Letoya Luckett premiered today called "She Don't Got Shyt On Me". First off i love the song and the video really does a good job visually showing how much energy the song has. I'm so excited for Letoya this go around. I really feel like she is growing as an artist and I hope her album does well. CHECK OUT THE VIDEO BELOW!

So I wasn't going to post this put I just been listening to this song over and over and over again lol. It's a feel good type of song. It's by Sammie and it's called "Jam On Me". I kinda get an Usher "Love in this Club" vibe. But the song is real dope, so check it out for yourself!
Today there was a special tribute song leaked to Michael Jackson. The artist on this song include Chris Brown, P. Diddy, The Game, Boy II Men, Usher, Polow Da Don, and Mario Winands. The song is called "Better On the Other Side". All I have to say is that this song was recorded QUICK. That's amazing that he just died yesterday and all of those artist came together from their busy schedules and recorded this song. CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO LISTEN:
Mya recently performed some new material from her new album at a Gay Pride Festival. I wanna say it was in DC but I'm not completely sure. The song is called "Simplicity" and it sounds HOT! Thank god she is finally experimenting with some new sounds this go around. And her dancing is on point. I always thought Mya was such a great performer. CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF!
AND THIS IS FOR ALL OF YA'LL WHO MAY THINK THAT MYA CAN'T SING...
Here's a new video from Ginuwine called "Get involved". Missy and Timbaland are also featured on this record as well which is nice to see. Wish Aaliyah were here. But yea check out the video and also be sure to check out his new album "A Man's Thoughts". I heard it was fire!
So Day 26 has a new music video for their song "Girlfriend" which is my absolute favorite song on their album. I've listened to this song like 50 million times lol. But yea, I think its a cool video. Very simple and I really like the lighting of the video. Check it out for yourself!
Today is a devastating day in the world of music. Michael Jackson has passed away from cardio arrest. I really cannot believe that he is gone at only 50 years old. Though I wanted to believe it was a nasty rumor going around, it turned out to be true. Well, all I can do is pray for his family and continue to embrace his music to keep his spirit alive.
Ciara's new video for "Work" premiered yesterday. The video is very cool, a lot of dancing, but still very glamorous. I love when artist mix glamour in rough environments such as the construction seen in this video. But anyways, I'm sure your anxious to watch it so here it is below:
Here's an accoustic version of "When Love Take Over" by Kelly Rowland. I must say, this is the best performance of this song I've seen thus far. Check it out for yourself!
Just wanted to say HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all of the dad's out there so enjoy this day, spend it with your kids (even though you should be doing that whether it's fathers day or not lol) and eat eat and eat lol.
Here's a new one from Ryan Leslie. I'm really feeling Ryan Leslie's style and I think he is one of the most creative people in the industry right now. His music is so fresh and it just put's me in a good mood lol. CHECK IT OUT!
A new Rihanna joint was leaked today called "Te Amo". I'm not really sure if it's a demo or not because she's referring to another woman in the song. Either way its a very catchy track. I'm lovin' the beat because it's very exotic sounding in my opinion. The lyrics are pretty cool because the title,"Te Amo", means I love you in and spanish and in the chorus she says "Te amo, somebody tell me what she says, don't it mean I love you". I thought that was real slick and creative to use in a song. Also, being that the beat is very exotic sounding, Rihanna's voice sounds perfect on top of the beat. But yea, check the song out for yourself!
UPDATE 06/21/09: So I just looked up the lyrics for this song and I think I finally understand what she's talking about in the song and it's really interesting. So basically what I got from the song is that Rihanna's at a club and some girl starts dancing with her and the girl is really feeling Rihanna, tellin Rihanna that she loves her and what not lol. So Rihanna realizes that the girl is feelin her in a romantic type of way and Rihanna is basically like I understand that you like me and all and that we all need love but I don't feel the same or in other words, I don't swing that way lol. Cool concept for a song, right?
Check out a sneak peak of Beyonce's new video for "Sweet Dreams". Being that this is one of my favorite Beyonce songs, this video looks pretty amazing! Can't wait for the full video!!!
Don't forget to tune in to TNT tonight at 9 pm to check out the premiere episode of Hawthorne starring Jada Pinkett. Being a huge Jada fan I will definitely be watching. Jada plays a nurse who also happens to be a widow raising her children on her own. So don't forget to watch it tonight at 9pm.
A new song by Letoya Luckett has been leaked today called "Don't Need You". I actually remember a few months ago a 30 second sample of this and another song were leaked and I remember I couldnt wait for the entire song to be leaked. I absolutely LOVE this song! Her vocals sound GREAT in the song and the beat is pretty hot too. This is a nice song to listen to for those of you going through a break up. I think the thing that really gets me about this song is the chorus. But yea, I'm really looking forward for her new album to come out. CHECK THE SONG OUT FOR YOURSELF BELOW!
Beyonce released her video for "Broken Hearted Girl" today. I think it's a solid video. She looks stunning as usual and I really enjoy the end of the video with the rose. You'll see what I'm talking about when you watch it lol. But uhh with all this said, I must say I'm soooooo tired of this whole black and white theme. I mean it was nice at first but I just need some color in my life lol. I think that's why I like the end of the video because it switched to color. And also because she has a green dress on and ya'll know I have a thing for green dresses lol. But yea, Watch it for yourself and let me know what you think.
For all my Beyonce fans, don't forget to tune in to BET tomarrow night at 7:30 to check out a Beyonce Special called "Above and Beyonce". From looking at the preview, it looks like it may be a sneak peak from her DVD that will be out soon. So yea, be sure to catch it!
I'm sure all of you have heard that Ashanti has been working on her new role as Dorothy in the 1978 classic, "The Wiz". There is an all star cast from Tachina Arnold (Martin, The Bernie Mac Show) to Dawnn Lewis (Hangin With Mr. Cooper, A Different World). As a huge fan of theater and of "The Wiz", this is definitely exciting. As you will see in the video clip below, Tachina Arnold definately shocked me with what was shown of her performance. It most certainly looked Top Notch! Check it out!
Alright I just had to take it back to 1998 or 99 (one or the other lol) for a minute. For all of ya'll who try to hate on Ms Janet Jackson, ya'll can hate all ya'll want, but regardless Janet has still left her mark in the music industry. I think this song is probably from my favorite Janet album, "The Velvet Rope". So I'ma take you all back for a minute. Without further adieu, here's "I Get So Lonely".
I just watched the premiere of Cassie's new video for "Must Be Love" featuring Diddy. I really like the song and I think the video really captures the drama and slickness of the song. It's very theatrical from the sepia tone throughout the entire video to the burning piano towards the end. Check it out for yourself! Sidenote: I wonder why cassie decided to cut her hair like that?? I think she would have been better off cuttin it all off and pullin an Amber Rose lol. Also, why do I feel like Diddy always has to be featured in all his artist songs and videos...I mean damn we know who's signed to bad boy and who's not...SHyt..lol..Anyways, here's the video.
Celebrity Icon Kim Kardashian has posted a sneak peak of photo shoot for Ocean Magazine which was shot at Newport Beach. I must say, I really love this photo shoot and Kim looks beautiful as usual. I love the cover with the gorgeous grean dress. I don't know, I love women in the color green for some reason. I think it's just a very sassy, sophisticated color to use for a dress. Also, the picture where she is sitting on the chair in a white jacket with the shoulder pads. Women in shoulder pad jackets seems to be the new hot thing this year. Everyone from Rihanna to Beyonce has been rockin' this look. I love it and I think it definitely works for the photograpah. The photo already has a very sharp, angular feel to it and the stylish jacket just adds on to this. But anyways, enough rambling on my part lol. Check out the photos for yourself and let me know what you think! Do you hate it, or love it?
Just thought I'd let everyone know, if your still using an antenna to watch tv or aka bunny ears, then you better get wit the program and get digital because TODAY'S THE DAY!!!
So yesterday Denzel Washington made a few guest appearances on BET's 106 and Park and David Letterman in promotion his new movie with John Travolta, "The Taking of Pelham 123" directed by Tony Scott which came out in theaters today. I must say the movie definitely looks good. From watching the preview, it looks like the type of movie to keep you on the edge of your seat the entire time and I love those types to movies. "The Taking of Pelhma 123" is basically about a New York subway (Pelham 123) being hijacked (John Travolta being the hijacker) in return for money. Walter Garbe (Denzel Washington) working on the other side of the subway systems, eventually has to face off with the mastermind behind the crime. And of course while all this is taking place, innocent lives are being taken on the subway and etc. So yes, I definately want to see it and if you happen to go see it, tell me what you think! PS: I was just on YouTube looking for the trailer and looks like the movie is a remake. So I will post the original trailer and 2009 version. :)
Alright, so I'm sure most of you Beyonce fans have been keeping up with her I Am Tour on YouTube. Well so have I lol. I recently watched one of her most recent renditons of the song "Halo" and I must say, people can hate on Beyonce all they want, but at the end of the day Beyonce continues to show why she is a TOP NOTCH Artist.
I've noticed that it has taken Beyonce a few trial and errors to really find her nitch on how to deliver this song in particular, but it looks like she finally got it together. Everything was one point from the interaction between her and her fans to her stage presence, which is never an issue. Check it out for yourself!
Well about a week ago now, Jojo released a youtube video which publicly showed her fustrations with her record label. This week a track was released called "Houstatlantavegas" which JoJo covered, however the song is originally by Drake. Drakes version is already amazing, but it was nice to hear how the song would sound with a female voice. And JoJo's voice has so much passion that I just think she has done a wonderful job at bringing the song to life in her own way.
So as a fan of up and coming artist striving to break into the entertainment biz (which is equivalent to winning the lottery lol), I wanna focus on a new group I have definately been feeling. They go by the name of "RichGirl". RichGirl is a metaphor for female empowerment and has nothing to do with material things. "It's not about where you got your shoes or purse, but more so about the women how rocks it." So I first heard of them maybe about a month or so ago when I kept hearing their song titled "24's" on the radio. The song immediately caught my attention and I loved it off the back, however I didn't know who sung the song. So finally a couple weeks ago I found their first music video for another song I heard by them called "He Ain't Wit Me Now Tho", and I must say, the video is FIRE! The video is very simple but each memeber of the group definately brings their own flava to the video. Check it out for yourself!
I definately hope to see a lot from Seven (Haines City, Florida), Lyndriette (?, North Carolina), Brave (Baltimore, Maryland....My home town WHOOP WHOOP! LOL), and Audra (San Diego, California) in the future. Just watching them evolve and mature as artist will definitely be a treat for all of us. Be sure to check out their myspace page at http://www.myspace.com/richgirlmusic.
